At Dooletter Wildlife Rescue, I am dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing all native wildlife across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. My mission is to provide a lifeline for injured, orphaned, abandoned, or disturbed wildlife, ensuring they receive the care and support they need to return to their natural habitats.

I offer a 24/7, 365-day service, ensuring that wildlife in need always has somewhere to turn. Whether it’s an injured animal requiring immediate care or an orphaned bird in need of nurturing, I am here to help.

If you encounter wildlife in distress or need advice, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Together, we can give these animals the best chance to thrive in their natural environment. Thank you for supporting the care and conservation of native wildlife.

We had a House Martin Nest that fell to the ground, leaving two chicks on the ground. Mary came out straight away to rescue them. Such a lovely lady doing a fantastic job!

A friend of mine found two crows, small baby ones that appeared to have fallen out of a nest. He told me about them, and, although at the time I was in another country, I text the contact there who was Mary. It was a Sunday evening out of hours. All the other wildlife places were shut and Mary was the only person who replied from doletter. After a short conversation, Mary sent somebody to look for the birds after a while, she found them and put them into her safety straight away.
On a Sunday night out of hours, this lady put the birds first, and within a couple of hours of me contacting her. They were in safety, even though she wasn’t in the area herself it doesn’t get much better than that, and I could sleep that night from not having to worry all evening about the poor little things in the middle of nowhere with no mummy.
Thank you, Marie you are amazing !

Mary is one of the most incredible people we have ever met. Her love & dedication to the preservation of wildlife is truly inspiring. People that selfless don’t come along often so she is such a gift, not only to the animals she saves, but to the people around who get to enjoy the fruits of her labour.
